SCREEN PRINTING
The technique of Screen Printing is an ancient process. It is one of the most economical and most popular ways that custom apparel is made. Screen Printing involves creating a stencil, known as a screen, and then using that screen to apply ink on the printing surface. Each individual color is applied using a different screen, one at a time, combined to achieve the final look. The more colors a design has, the more screens that are needed, and the more setup time required. This method is very durable and long lasting. Screen Printing is the best option for designs that require a high level of vibrancy, specialty products, or for quantities greater than 6 pieces. It is generally less expensive for large quantity orders of a single design. Price is usually a prohibitive factor for under 6 pieces, and is not recommended for smaller quantity jobs.
FULL COLOR (4-COLOR PROCESS)
The process of Screen Printing using the 4 color process method provides lots of color options and can have a photo realistic result but is generally recommended for light colored garments only. It is not as cost effective as regular screen printing and is recommended for large quantities.
